The Contract and Standards of Practice
There are two things Fenner Home Inspections needs before starting an inspection:
1) An Inspection Services Contract signed by the client.
2) The client must have received the Oregon CCB handout "Home Inspection Consumer Notice."
Both Documents are available for viewing and printing by clicking on the links below.
Print out two copies of the Contract, keep one for your records and bring one to the inspection. Jamie will help you fill in any blanks and sign in the proper spots.

Understanding the Contract
Home inspections are a general, visual assessment of the conditions visible at a property at the time of the inspection. There are places and conditions that are sealed, blocked, or not active at all times and that will not be inspected or reported on. Inspections are not a guarantee or warranty in any form. If you think there has been a problem with my inspection, the most recourse you have against me is the amount of my inspection fee. If you won't agree to that limitation, then I won't agree to do your inspection.
This sounds harsh, but it is how almost all inspector contracts are written. I'm just different in that I want to be sure you understand.
These limitations make it very important to choose an experienced and reputable inspector. If a realtor or friend has recommended me, talk to them about my experience and skills. Check out the testimonials page for client reviews. Or if you or a friend are a member of Angie's List go to that site to read my reviews and see my "A" rating. I have a long list of satisfied clients that is based upon quality and thorough inspections. I am determined to keep that list growing and I'd love to add your name.
